Could be a blown capacitor in the A/C unit. Not a complicated fix, but make
sure you discharge the old capacitor before messing with it (YouTube is your friend).

You might be able to see ice on the copper lines coming from the condenser

If the ice has gotten all the way to the outside lines, I'd bet you have lots of ice inside your unit right now.

Yes. You turn off the power. Then you go into the room where the a/c unit is inside your house. You unscrew the metal
