Indecision or failure to act is also a decision, and BYU may be closing its future doors by remaining independent for too long. It made sense at first to enable itself to easily join a P5. That didn't turn out how we wanted, and maybe it's time to move on from it.

Then again, 5 years from now, factors could dramatically change again and independent will have ended up being the best thing.
