My wife is a PT and works for a clinic that she plans on leaving eventually. One of her certifications is dry needling
which is increasing in popularity. She's getting a lot of requests from family/friends/neighbors for the service and is thinking about treating people outside of the clinic. I've told her that I don't feel comfortable treating non-family individuals until we have some sort of liability insurance in place and preferably LLC protection as well.

Anyway, my actual question: does a side hustle like this constitute a conflict of interest? She's not actively marketing her services and not using the clinic's resources. She also wouldn't be treating clients that she knows from her work at the clinic. I'm genuinely curious if that is considered a conflict though, since she could technically refer them to come into her clinic for the service.
