True though a payout would be inconsequential to them so why not just
fulfill the decade-old contract and move on? If money is not an issue for us, then why should it be for them who have at least a 3x bigger budget than BYU?
The bigger issue is pride and BYU still has some and needs to hold on to that. We can't just be seen as a pushover and allow others to walk all over us as a program. Even a marquee game is not worth that.

Never return to South Bend until they come to Provo. I would be ok with 3 of those 4 games (or even all 4) in Vegas.
