Time lost and games played there are sunk costs
To me this decision is $1 million versus the value of playing the game. It's a HUGELY attractive game, particularly if BYU can play it in late October. But is it worth over $1 million + whatever other game we could schedule instead? Probably not. So BYU should not settle on it unless it gets some $ from ND to compensate for the loss of a contracted home game.

Never return to South Bend until they come to Provo. I would be ok with 3 of those 4 games (or even all 4) in Vegas.
