The BIGXII is going the way of the Big East at this point... 2 of the remaining BIGXII members will move to the BIG10... 1 or 2 will move to the ACC.
If Notre Dame joins the ACC... BYU has to join a conference... or we are screwed if we don't. Out of conference schedules will significantly shrink with conferences moving to 16 teams, the AAC will most likely take the remaining BIGXII teams that are left over, which will make it a great conference still. Most like Baylor and TCU and 1 other will be going to the AAC.
The PAC may try to add some left over BIGXII teams... that will be a logistic nightmare for the PAC... they have to move to 14 or 16 teams if the rest of the conferences do. Their stubbornness to not add BYU is the most absurd reasoning ever... but after the way that they handled the COVID thing, I don't know if I'm really excited about being in that conference.
BYU is literally in no mans land.
