Only assurance needed is the conference champion of BYU's league makes the CFP.

Whatever league gets 4 of the B12 leftovers will have that wrapped up if they take the top 6 conference champions.

As it stands BYU is better served in the AAC or (I'm puking a bit here) even the MWC than as an independent. The Big12 leftovers are in a much better position than the AAC. If BYU gets an offer they should jump.
