Well that point is hard to argue
What I would say is that I would expect an athlete that many say is the GOAT to step up and perform (even if doing so by scaling back the difficulty a bit to be safer) even if they are physically fine but not feeling "100%" mentally comfortable. It is the world's biggest stage/moment for this sport ... news flash ... probably nearly all of the gymnasts are feeling jittery a bit because of the event and the stakes involved.

Biles maybe is not used to feeling it (the pressure) as much. I would guess that she senses her body as at its limits and it is not as easy as it was a few years ago, and her confidence may be down a little because less than two days before she had a subpar night (in which she still had the highest overall individual score) and her team finished second in preliminaries, and she started feeling more pressure this night and could not handle it. But yeah, that is my guess. If I am correct, and am not suggesting we pile on her, rather that we just recognize it and accept it and move on, and not twist things to turn her into a hero because of it.
