Pretty sure I was taking about “media darlings” not fame

Along with 90% of the country, I don’t watch professional women’s soccer.

But I do watch tv occasionally. If I google “Alex Morgan media darling”, some references are made to Alex Morgan in 2016 articles, but the recent articles all mention Rapinoe.

Lots of athletes are famous, not all are media darlings pumped up and thrown around everywhere.

It can and does happen. A neck injury ended a family members gymnastics career.
