I'd agree with that. I spent 5 years in the Marching Band at the time the

current director was hired (was the assistant director before that). He is a great guy and I have a lot of respect for him. BUT, it feels like they are are still doing the same stuff now as they did 20 years ago. The set list for the stands is the same songs with very little updating and modernizing to music that the crowd would appreciate and enjoy.

I would say the song "Hip to be square" would be the perfect theme song for the band.

At the end of the day, when it comes to halftime, most the focus is in musicality and very little thought seems to be out into the performance or showmanship aspect of it.
