In other words, he's consciously resisting becoming "big time." I think for someone to lure him away they're going to have to appeal to his values of working with young men, having a family atmosphere, etc. I think if they just offer him money, they'll turn him off.

USC for example will need to emphasize the huge polynesian community in southern California, and the connection to the university. They should emphasize proximity to the islands and a priority to recruit them, etc. to help those families gain access to first-rate education, and life-changing opportunities the university offers beyond a pathway to the NFL. That might work, but I still doubt he'd leave.
