I've done my own stats, and to me there was no doubt that BYU, UCF, Houston were the strongest additions. BYU having an advantage when full history is compared, UCF probably the strongest when more emphasis is put on the last decade.
But if you read this post from me
I don't think they're purposely downplaying BYU, so much as they are focused on SEC/ACC matters. And the other three have had big games against SEC/ACC opponents recently (including bowl games against Georgia for both Cincy and UCF), whereas BYU hasn't had those some opportunities

I’m guessing these guys likely also believe that any team not in the SEC are almost akin to the G5. Anyone that likes
