Grew up in the Bay Area
My Dad was born and raised in San Francisco and worked his entire career in the city. He had a signed Willie Mays baseball on his dresser. We always liked the Giants. I went to several games at Candlestick and Will Clark was my favorite player growing up (I also loved Kevin Mitchell). My friends and I in elementary school all got New Era official Giants hats and that was our group and what we were known by.

I loved the Giants in the late 80's and early 90's and watched almost all their games on Chanel 2. I worked in the San Francisco myself after college and the firm I worked for had fantastic Giants tickets at that I would try to get any time I could. I would sometimes take BART home after work (I live in the East Bay) and my wife would meet me at the BART station with my 3 year-old son and I would jump back on BART and head back to the city with him to got to the games.

I saw several of Barry Bonds home runs and my son and I attended what I think was Buster's first start at catcher - he went something like 4 for 4 or 4 for 5 that day.

My wife doesn't mind having the Giant's games on even if it is just in the background as she says listening to Kruk and Kuip is soothing to her (it will be a sad day when they no longer announce the games).

What a great and unexpected year this year has been! I'm excited for the Giants to take out the Dodgers in this series!
