trying to stop opposing offenses until the red zone anyways, so who cares where they get the ball? Force them too field goals not touchdowns as that's obviously the goal. Those were actually gifts for the defense cause it means they don't have to waste energy letting the Boise State offense methodically work their way down the field to the red zone, converting on 3rd down regardless whether it's 3rd and 2 or 3rd and 15! The defense should be happy they get to start in the red zone!
