BYU is who it is because of those conference championships. There is a
reason Lavell held them in such high regard.
And absolutely no one cares about rankings unless you finish #1.
Ask me who won any particular conference on any particular year, and I have a lot better chance of getting that right then who finished the season ranked 11th that year.
Most secure people care more about what was accomplished on the field, then what some jackwad reporter thinks of their team.
