Of course it's reasonable to Bronco to use every tool he's got to get the best recruits. He should and we should (and do) also use whatever we have.

But it can still be frustrating in this case, where we have something fairly unique that gives us a huge advantage with a very small (LDS) portion of recruits, but a mild disadvantage with the vast majority.

That can be a net positive for us, but if more schools (like Utah or Virginia) have that same advantage (or a decent approximation of it with LDS coaches) without the accompanying disadvantage (Honor Code and being the "Mormon school") then our advantage gets watered down and is less useful. But the disadvantage doesn't become any less.
