I'm not saying Utah's QB room is otherworldly, but explain to me how you arrived at a "terrible" QB room. They currently have a QB at the helm who has turned the season around and in the hunt for a NY6 bowl. He will come back next year and could also be back in 2023, if he chose.
His backup is another transfer who was a 96-rated 4* recruit out of HS. The jury is still out on him. Might compare him to a Jacob Conover who was highly rated but hasn't done anything yet.
Then they are brining in elite 11 QB Nate Johnson (another 4*)
You may want to concern yourself with the fact that Jaren Hall is only a sophomore and BYU isn't signing any QBs and there's a real possibility that Conover transfers out because he doesn't want to sit another year or two. Then who will have a "just awful" situation at QB??
