My future wife went on a date that ended with being dropped off at my house.
We were at BYU-Idaho at the time. We had dated a few times, but we weren't a "thing" yet. There was a guy in our ward that kept trying, bless his heart. He invited her, and her roommates, to stay with his friends in Utah during conference weekend. She was going to, but canceled on him so they could stay at my parents house with my roommates and I. She agreed to go on a date with him on Friday night, if she could get dropped off at my house. He had to drive 45 min each way to drop her off.
I made sure to be around when she got there, and thank him for bringing her all that way!
