Walking on campus, a sprinkler was pointing the wrong way, wetting the sidewalk.
Everyone was giving it a wide berth. I walked straight to it, bent down and twisted it in perfect position in one motion, eyes ahead, and kept going without breaking stride. A few people came and told me how cool it was, like not looking back at an explosion. I was surprised anyone would care. Which made them more impressed.
That's not the most alpha thing I've done, but it beats the crap out of your story.
