I disagree
Here are the teams that are a lock for a NY6 game:
Georgia
Michigan
Alabama
Cincinnati
Oklahoma State
Ole Miss
Notre Dame
Ohio State
Winner of the Oregon/Utah game
Winner of the Wake Forest/Pitt game
That leaves the last 2 spots will be picked from:
Michigan State (not playing)
Baylor (playing Oklahoma State - they are in if they win)
Iowa (playing Michigan - they are in if they win)
BYU (not playing)
That seems like the right spot for us at 10-2 with a bad loss to BSU and a loss to Baylor. I'd have a hard time arguing that we should be ranked higher. You could make the argument that the ACC has no business playing in a NY6 game, but that's not impacting BYU's ranking - they are both ranked below us.

Honestly I’m not sure we are ranked higher beating Boise. Maybe but I’m not totally sold on the idea.
