I got an interview because of a line on my resume “won 17 intramural championships in college”
Try story…the hiring manager told me that is the best thing he has seen on a resume. This guy was a ME and MBA from MIT and a top exec at a tech company.
I should add that I got the job and worked for him for 10 years. He still brings up the line item frequently (he is a sports guy)
