Dude, contracts have contingencies and options all the time and it is not unethical, dishonest, or disloyal to exercise them. As long as both parties are aware of the clauses going in or there is a remedy for the injured party, there is nothing immoral about it. Stop with this false moral piety. That is not how reality works.
