To give Kyle’s assistants long term contracts and he told Kyle they would be done on a year by year basis. Previously, they had long term contracts but the program had back to back losing seasons in 2012 and 2013.
Kyle’s continued tenure was in question during the 2014 season and things got ugly at the end when Gary and Kalani bailed to Oregon State. Things were not stable at the time Kalani left.
