Dog walker charged my boss for a walk she didn’t show up for - how to handle?
I manage dog walks for my boss through the Rover app. The walker shows up, indicates that on the app, then the app tracks their walk and shows me where they went before they stop the tracking. Sometimes we have to cancel last minute, and I’ll tell the walker to still start and stop the walk so they can get paid.

Yesterday the dogwalker canceled on me about 1.5 hours before she was supposed to come, saying she wasn’t feeling great. No big deal. But then last night at 10:30 my phone buzzes and says “[Sally] just picked up your dogs for a walk” and then 30 minutes later buzzes again and says “[Sally] completed the walk with your dogs.” So she basically paid herself for a walk that she cancelled herself.

She’s an older later (late 50s early 60s?) and sometimes has issues using the app. I also feel weird calling someone out who I see as my senior. Is this an ok message to send? If not, how should I handle this?

“Hey [Sally]!

I noticed that you recorded a walk for yesterday even though you were the one to cancel. Normally, we’ll pay you for a walk if we canceled last minute after you were already planning on coming, but I feel uncomfortable with you recording (and getting paid for) a walk yesterday when you were the one to cancel. Can we be clear going forward on when or when not to record a cancelled walk? Thanks!”
