My mom tasked me (at the age of 16) to get rid of a wasp nest so we could
have a wedding reception in our back yard.

After running several scenarios through my mind, I decided a butane torch and a spray bottle of gasoline would be the perfect anti-wasp fighting tool.

I tested the contraption out and sure enough, a large 5 foot ball of flames shot out from the spray bottle! I approached the nest and gave it 3 huge pumps with my homemade flamethrower. Like magic the nest/deck started on fire! Not only that, not all the wasps died, so several of them started coming at me. I was making desperate additional flame sprays to try to prevent getting stung wildly in every direction.

With each spray the wasps would just drop, I even added extra sprays of fire on the grass to "make sure they were dead"

Replaying this in my mind, I can't believe that I didn't blow myself up or start the house on fire.

But, what I managed to do was create a small burn spot on the deck and put 6 huge yellow patches in the lawn for the reception the next day!
