So then the key is going to be getting those at-large spots. We've seen the committee not ding P5s much for losing to highly ranked teams, so this would help with that.

The 1 seed games are about getting into the playoffs.

The 2 seed games are about finishing Top 25

The 3 seed games are about getting bowl-eligible
