His senior year he shot the 2nd most shots and had the worst FG% on the team. So lots of people considered him a bricker. Looking back at the game stats, he also played his worst against the teams BYU lost to, and played his best against TCU and other teams when BYU was already guranteed to win before the initial tip off. Fans wanted to see Jimmer shooting more and JT shooting less. JT was even replaced by Hartsock as a senior due to his poor offense. This is a concern I remember thinking was justified because even as a junior Jimmer was a unique talent and we should have been feeding him the ball more.
TL;DR
JT was a good player, but he took a step back his senior year and would have done best to let Jimmer do his thing and pass the ball more when there were better shooters his senior year.
