What i saw is the guy pulled back in plenty of time for Atiki to drift away from the confrontation. Refs also must have
seen Atiki's forearm as unnecessary and that AA had enough time to see it and avoid it.

We see players walk away from confrontation all time, especially when some lesser player is trying to provoke a key opponent. I thought Atiki had plenty of time before the forearm to peaceably end it.

Obviously, you see it differently. IMO that kind of act will be seen as an intentional blow nearly every time.

If he has to strike back he has to go lower. Still would get a whistle and cost his team a possession.
