You could rent one each time you want to use it much cheaper than you could buy.
Cost per use, even over many years, favors renting. Especially if you consider maintenance, insurance, etc.

It’d cost you way less to stay in nice hotels.

That said, if my wife liked camping I might get a trailer pop up tent.

So, could one buy a TT and rent it out to cover the costs of ownership?

Sure. Just a pain in the butt and it’s likely your RV gets damaged by the renter

I suppose but there’s another set of headaches when you do that.

You could get a pass to the public pool for way less than building your own pool...

Depreciates in value, takes up a lot of space, expensive, sometimes more work

It's not a cabin and sometimes you just don't want to make the effort to tow the thing around.

I LOVE my travel trailer. However, it's a terrible financial decision.

You have to have a beefy truck to tow one, which adds expense.

My son and I were checking out RVs last Saturday, mostly the ones that can be pulled comfortably by a 1/2 ton, but...

I fell for that too. I bought a 1/2 ton towable trailer. Everyone told me I'd

By far, the biggest issue for me is that there is no room service. If you're going to pay that kind of money why not

I buy nearly new hail damaged trailers and keep them for a year or two and then

Build quality literally sucks. Anything Berkshire Hathaway stay clear of. If I had to do it again, I'd get the newest
