and has pretty much said that BYU's resources/support staff for recruiting was minimal and seemed pathetic especially compared to P5 schools and was pretty much relying on it's LDS network and past reputation. Heck even former players like Will Snowden whose son is a high level recruit make mention of differences between the way BYU recruits vs other programs.

Obviously going to the B12 and getting more $ coming in will help that...but we don't know when and it may take time.

Winning definitely helps, but so does HOW you win...and I think we've seen some great development and pickups on the offensive side...

But let's be real, we've seen varied talent on the D side of the ball for years...not saying they're terrible...just saying there is a lack of difference makers, studs...and high talent. Meanwhile...you're seeing a lot of high LDS talent going elsewhere. Maybe that's part of being Independent, but maybe it's also because we've tended to have a bend but don't break defense, maybe it's because we don't have comparable recruiting resources...and nowadays...maybe it's because of NIL?

Maybe we don't know much about recruiting...but a lot of us listen to those that were and are close to it.
