membership. Come on. Although that is exactly what technically they should do, there is no chance in hello that such a move will bring any fruit. Never say never, the saying goes, but really, outside of Oregon and Washington, no one else in the PAC12 has the luster to draw any attention.
If B1G doesn't want Washington and Oregon, the ACC would be idiotic to not be beating down their doors, so that the ACC could still become relevant in this current power struggle. It would be better to be in position so people could talk of the P3 conferences, than to wait idly by. It really seems like a no-brainer to me for the ACC to pursue that option. Their diamond up their sleeve is of course Notre Dame, that isn't a full conference member, but the next best thing to one.
