US News Law Schools: BYU #22, UW #36; WSJ B-School: BYU #27, UW #37. Undergrad
is a more subjective ranking IMO. I would like to see how entering freshman valedictorians, GPA and (most importantly) ACT/SATs stack up between UW and BYU.

Washington is a good school, but BYU is in the same echelon. Of course Stanford outclasses all B12 and even the other PAC universites with the possible exception of Berkely. The PAC is strong academically (especially the top half of it), but they are losing two of the stronger ones in USC and UCLA.

I will grant you that Baylor is not as esteemed as Washington. A thousand years ago when evaluating law schools, I recall that Baylor was relatively easy to get into versus both BYU and Washington FWIW and less "prestigious".
