It’a a very real possibility Washington State and Oregon State r out of a power
conference when the music stops.
It’s not unprecedented in the modern era though. It happened to TCU and SMU when the Southwest Conference disbanded.
I guess they only have themselves to blame though. Other state schools that aren’t the state flagship school built themselves into football powers, like Oklahoma State and Michigan State.
WSU and OSU missed their chance. They had power conference $$$ for decades years and did not take full advantage of it.
