I got sick about 25 minutes into the interview. Migraine. Started seeing spots. Then came the sweats and nausea. I poked around at the fancy food they brought in and didn’t really touch it, trying my best to make it look like I had eaten something. Didn’t work. They noticed and asked if I didn’t like the food. When I was interviewing with other staff, I had to frequently excuse myself to run over to the bathroom (in the middle of interviews). I spent 45 minutes in a single stall bathroom puking my face off. Took off my suit and sat there in my underwear because I was sweating so bad. It wasn’t until I had pulled myself together and walked out that I realized I had taken the bathroom right outside the OB department and there were like 5 other very pregnant women waiting for me to come out and shooting me death glares as soon as I came out. I had to ask the realtor who was showing me around the town to pull over so I didn’t puke in her Escalade. I politely asked to bow out of the dinner that night that had arranged. They didn’t seem too disappointed about letting me off the hook.

It. Was. So. Awful.

In the end they offered me the job. I think they were desperate. I didn’t take it.
