UCLA women's basketball played road games in Florida, New Jersey and hosted Ohio State and Virginia. UCLA softball played a 5-game tournament in Florida in February. The UCLA cross-country team ran in an invitation in Florida. UCLA swimming competed in a 3-day invitational at Ohio State. UCLA gymnastics competed against Iowa and Minnesota in Minneapolis. UCLA volleyball played 2 road games in Georgia. Golf played in Georgia and Arkansas. Even UCLA beach volleyball played a 6-match tournament in Alabama.

Olympic sports travel issues are overstated in realignment discussions. If needed, UCLA can simply play a couple of Eastern time zone matches in-conference and schedule nearby OOC events.
