You are spot on here, it isn't a zero sum situation and that's what isn't being
understood.
There isn't a "fixed" number of fans for the entire conference, so if one teams has an increase in attendance, doesn't mean they are taking those fans from the other teams, I highly doubt there is a 1x1 correlation there.
Perhaps the teams who are not doing as well will have a decrease in support, but I think that probably is the difference between the fanbases of the 2 conference, not as many band wagon fans in the B12.
