Meh, despite making it through Les Mis, Moby Dick, and several Russian
classics, I couldn't handle Atlas Shrugged. The characters were so boring, the writing was only average, and it wasn't nearly as compelling as everyone makes it out to be. Couldn't finish. Felt like a waste of time.
Just as an example, despite his mental wanderings into whale biology, Herman Melville is so much more talented as a producer of prose than Rand. She's overrated.
