If it’s just a trim, he’ll be back this season. If stitches are required, he’s out for the season as that usually requires the patient to be non-weight bearing for 6 weeks. That’s why the article stated the Dr will know more once he’s in the knee.
Not much blood flow in the middle of the knee so it takes a while to heal with stitches and the 6 weeks non-weight bearing causes muscle atrophy as well. Let’s hope it’s just a trim.
