Obviously it’s mostly about money, and byu doesn’t move the needle as much as some of the monster programs YET. But I think there’s potential with BYU as the church continues to roll over the four corners of the earth. We will have to overtake the Catholics by the end of one of these TV cycles. A nationwide/worldwide brand… what’s not to love about BYU?

We’re just weird I guess.

Because pound for pound as an athletic department and as a university we belong in the national conversation. But the academic elites probably have a specific bias against us that we will continue to struggle against.

It’s the same reason we didn’t get into the pac 12. We’re good enough… but there’s too much bias and sentiment against us. It’s never been fair… it’s just the way it is and it’s too bad. I’d love to see a merit based system on who gets in.
