Kid from my ward got in with 3.1 GPA - wants to be a music teacher.

Shocked those who did not get in from our ward with much better grades. He never got above a C in any science class according to him and his Mom. Did not submit his 22 ACT score either. Mom is also his seminary teacher so that might help in the essays.

At some point you have to apply to a major. It doesn't have to be at the time

It's easier in general to just transfer to BYU then to get in as a freshman

It’s just like football though, if the program wants you they can get you in. My wife was admitted to BYU two weeks
