I don't necessarily disagree with this.

The coach is all about doing what's best for him...whether that is winning now or building for a couple years down the road.

An athlete should do what's in his/her own best self interest. Apparently Holker feels it is in his own self interest to move on for whatever reason. Or maybe, he's being encouraged to go. We just don't know.
