The fact that my fellow South Dakotans say things in funny ways doesn't change the fact that "Sill the dill" is rill.
It IS funny. South Dakotans say things funny too, but do people need to somehow acknowledge that in order to justify pointing out what they perceive as funny in others?
Just laugh at yourself; it isn't some competition where pointing out a funny quirk in others somehow implies that the speaker doesn't have any quirks of their own.
