1) I'd need to see a better replay on this one. It looked like a clear false start live, but I can't tell on these zoomed out replays. Pretty much all BYU fans who were watching live were in agreement that it looked like a false start.

2) Agree on this one. He picked the wrong Wyoming play to highlight for this missed call. There was a Wyoming play where pretty much the entire Wyoming line was about 5-7 yards down field when the ball was thrown. I agree with your take on the one he highlighted. It wasn't egregious on that play and would have been a ticky tack call. But the one I'm talking about, wow. It took some severe incompetence to miss it.

3) Highlighting that play seems like one of those fans that screams holding on every BYU defensive play and then never sees our guys holding on offense. Clearly not the best example in that game. There were other plays that had some severe missed holding, including the Micah Harper TFL that he made despite being obviously held.

4) That's referee incompetence. Those guys have whistles for a reason. Use them. They obviously saw the incomplete pass cause they get together afterwards and rule it was an incomplete pass. So what the heck? Blow the freaking whistle. Side note: quit blocking below the waist! This ain't that hard, guys!

5) The spots were off by a yard all night. That one went in Wyoming's favor, but there were at least 5 or 6 more for the BYU offense where they were spotted a yard short. Hans does a good job of highlighting this on his reviews.



Even Hans got upset with the officiating. They were just bad. You'd expect better at a high school game.


In short, if you watch Zoobie's video I can see why you'd come away thinking he's just being a whiny fan. He chose the wrong plays to highlight for his case. Don't know why he did that as there were plenty of strong examples of poor officiating in that game. The game was poorly officiated to the point that even Wyoming's coach commented on it.
