Yes, you are right.
Nor does TPA. Core infarct is gone. The goal of both TPA and thrombectomy is to preserve parenchyma within the penumbra. My point is that TPA isn’t the only option. Many patients are candidates for thrombectomy when they aren’t for TPA, and the window for thrombectomy is often longer than for TPA.
