One was while he was a teenager, he’s now in his younger 50’s and is about one of the most active people I know. He has trouble controlling his left hand and left foot turns in leaving him with a limp, but the man refuses to let it stop him. He does lots outdoors (hiking, canoeing, etc) and is very successful career wise.
The other had a stroke about 3 years ago about 50 and has similar symptoms that he’ll probably have the rest of his life. He’s been able to keep doing the same things career wise he did before, though some of the physical parts of his job he now asks others to help with.
I hope all turns out for her!
