But until ranges regularly hit 500 miles per charge, EVs won't really take off on a large scale. That's actually a good thing until the infrastructure is better equipped to handle it. (Post on that yesterday from someone here on CB)

There are a number of manufacturers (Both battery and vehicle) that are claiming to get to that 500 range soon - and some are even promoting that they'll be able to offer a full charge in less than 15 mins. We'll see if they actually deliver.
