My wife and I share one car, I work from home.
If we want to go camping for a few nights or on a road trip which we do with relative frequency, an EV doesn't make sense. I would have to buy a second ICE or rent a car camping and road trips. Incredibly inconvenient and not cost effective. 300 mile range is okay but start driving on some windy dirt roads up a canyon and that drops dramatically. The trips dont even have to be that long before the range becomes an issue. I dont think our situation is all that unique in the sense that most people still want to have an ICE vehicle in their garage to avoid that inconvenience. Give me 500-600 miles of range and now we are talking.
