Somebody smarter than me please explain this: how is it possible to be both
ranked ahead of ND, and yet expected to lose on a neutral field within our time zone?
We know CFB rankings are largely crap, especially to start a season, so is this just further evidence of that? Is it admission that no one actually believes the rankings? Except everyone seems to eat up the over-ranking of PAC schools....
Does Vegas disregard the rankings?
It feels like trying to assert these two things simultaneously:
BYU is probably better than ND.
Also, ND is probably better than BYU.
