My take is that there are plenty who are in the profession and have played the game like Matich and several of the TV commentators that actually meet and talk with him that recognize that what he's doing and how he's doing it - whatever it is...in this case replacing a coordinator/coaches - is the right way to do it AND that he's the right guy for it. Not one of them mentions your take - that it never seems to be his fault.

Nobody suggests he's perfect at his job. But if you know your history at all, Lavell was known to let his coaches coach. He told them he wanted to throw the ball, for example, then let them decide how to get that mandate done. Kalani has stated on multiple occasions that he tries to model his coaching on Lavell's style. It shouldn't be a shock to anyone that he's given Ty and Tuiaki freedom to run offenses/defenses the way they saw fit and has changed both of them out when it didn't work out.

Tuiaki had some good years, ranked in the top 30/top 40 as outlined on SportsNation yesterday. For whatever reasons that many have debated on here ferociously, his defenses haven't been getting it done lately...with roughly the same group of players. If you want to tell me that's Sitake's fault, I'ma simply disagree and move on.
