You root for both. BYU is the face of the church and an excellent program...that stands for something. Utah
will have a strong LDS influence, multiple RMs and currently has the President, HC and head coach to be all strong LDS.
Utah is different in its rags to riches story as probably the single most upwardly mobile program since the inception of the BCS.
Watching Utah succeed and start from the bottom and rise to the top of the MWC last decade...then do it again in the P12 has been awesome.
I hope BYU has the same experience in the B12...but with a better start.
One thing CB does well though. Utah will always have at least 1-3 losses. Even in their best year. That's the reality of a non blue blood in today's CFP world. There will always be at least a few losses to rub in...that totally exposed Utah. You can always take solace in that.
